NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for an exciting Head of Maths / Maths Leadership opportunity at a specialist secondary school in Horsham.
This role is ideal for:
An ambitious Maths Teacher ready to step into leadership
A current Maths Teacher or TLR holder seeking progression
An experienced secondary Maths Teacher looking to move into specialist education
Teachers wanting a rewarding and relationship-focused, smaller pupil cohort to supportThe school offers a highly supportive setting with smaller class sizes, strong pastoral support, and a genuine focus on staff wellbeing and professional development.

The successful candidate will:
Lead and develop the Maths curriculum across the school
Deliver engaging and accessible Maths lessons to secondary students
Support teaching and learning across the department with 2 direct reports
Help drive positive student outcomes and engagement
Work closely with senior leaders to further develop the Maths provision
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thriveThe school is particularly interested in hearing from strong classroom practitioners with leadership potential, even if you have not yet held a formal Head of Department position.
Previous specialist education experience is welcomed but not essential. The school is happy to support teachers transitioning from mainstream secondary settings.
