The business is actively embedding AI across its engineering workflows and is building intelligent, autonomous systems that are shaping the future of its domain. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for technical excellence, line management, and consistent proactive communication across many stakeholders, clients, and colleagues. You'll have a passion for AI-driven innovation and lead the charge across several projects and initiatives. Responsibilities as Lead Software Engineer: Own technical delivery across a wide portfolio of projects and initiatives Drive the adoption of AI tooling and practices across the engineering function Requirements as Lead Software Engineer: Strong engineering background in TypeScript, Angular, Python, Java or Go Expertise designing and building systems with performance and scalability in mind Familiarity with Gen AI frameworks such as LangGraph, Crew AI or the OpenAI ecosystems Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure DevOps and Infrastructure tooling - CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes Experience building and maintaining distributed systems SQL & NoSQL databases Hybrid working in Central London Real Autonomy, ability to shape the function, not just run it A business genuinely committed to building with AI at the core.
