Contracts Manager

£75,000 per annum, plus bonus and car allowance Full-time, permanent Bicester, Oxfordshire Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm We are recruiting an experienced Contracts Manager to join a fast-growing construction contractor delivering high-quality fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK, with values of up to £1.5 million. The Role As Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple contracts across Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. You will manage budgets, programmes, site teams, subcontractors and client relationships, ensuring every project is delivered safely, profitably, on time and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities Oversee assigned contracts from mobilisation through to completion Manage project budgets, costs, margins and commercial performance Plan and coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors and resources Act as the main point of contact for clients Lead, support and develop site teams and direct reports Monitor programmes and ensure key deadlines are achieved Maintain high standards of quality across all projects Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures Provide progress, financial and performance reports Identify and resolve delays, risks, disputes and operational issues Support continuous improvement across processes and project delivery Candidate Requirements The successful Contracts Manager will have: Previous experience in a contracts management or senior operational construction role Experience within fit-out, refurbishment, maintenance or a related sector Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and margins Excellent leadership and people-management skills Sound knowledge of health and safety requirements Strong client relationship, communication and negotiation skills The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities A full UK driving licence What Is Offered This Contracts Manager opportunity includes: £75,000 annual salary Performance-related bonus Car allowance 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays Pension scheme CPD and professional development support Free on-site parking Employee Assistance Programme Retail and travel discounts Clear career progressionThe position is based in Bicester, with regular travel to project sites.
