About the role
An established, international MEP design consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing London team. With a strong global footprint and a reputation for delivering high-quality, technically complex projects, this organisation operates across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on mission-critical and data centre developments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in delivering innovative building services solutions on large-scale, global projects.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will take a leading role in project delivery, providing technical expertise, design input, and client-focused solutions. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary environment, supporting both project execution and the development of junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the successful delivery of project objectives through technical input and engineering expertise
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, timely project delivery
Prepare specifications, drawings, and contract documentation in line with relevant standards
Deliver mechanical building services designs from concept through to completion
Ensure projects are delivered within budget and programme constraints while maintaining technical quality
Provide mechanical design solutions across a range of building and infrastructure projects
Manage scope and design changes in line with project controls and client requirements
About You:
Degree-qualified in Mechanical Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
Demonstrable experience operating at Senior Engineer level
Strong technical expertise in mechanical building services design
Experience in data centres or mission-critical environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of related disciplines such as fire engineering, acoustics, and building modelling
Chartered status (or working towards) with a relevant professional body (e.g. CIBSE)
Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, IES, Hevacomp, CFD software, and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
