Factory Production OperativeLocation: Newmarket Job Type: Permanent Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (14:00 - 22:00)About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for our client, a Thailand-based global leader in food and agricultural production, who are looking for Production Operatives to join their manufacturing operation in Newmarket.The role involves the production manufacture assembly packing and hygiene cleaning of food products in line with company procedures and product specifications while maintaining high standards of food safety quality and efficiency.Salary & Benefits£12.85 per hour for Production OperativesOvertime paid at 1.25x standard rateCompany annual bonus schemeCompany pensionLife insuranceKey ResponsibilitiesCarry out production packing assembly and hygiene tasks in line with company proceduresOperate machinery in accordance with training and competency levelsMaintain high standards of food safety hygiene quality and housekeepingEnsure equipment and work areas are cleaned to required standards before and during productionFollow a clean as you go approach ensuring work areas remain safe and organisedComplete quality checks including temperature visual quality weight length and labelling checksEnsure products and racks are correctly labelled to maintain traceabilityWork as part of the production team to achieve daily targets while maintaining product quality and safety standardsSupport product changeovers and machine set-up activities where requiredAccurately complete production paperwork and recordsReport hazards defects and production issues to the relevant Line LeaderSupport continuous improvement initiatives across safety quality efficiency and hygieneExperience & RequirementsPrevious experience within a food manufacturing environment is desirableKnowledge of food safety hygiene and health and safety standards would be advantageousAbility to communicate in EnglishMust live within a reasonable commuting distance of NewmarketAbility to work in a fast-paced production environmentFlexible and willing to support different areas of the operation when requiredIf this sounds like something you would be interested in please apply below.
