Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of delivering high-quality work to clients, managing projects within agreed timelines and budgets while maintaining a focus on technical precision and depth.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships, using your expertise to identify opportunities for sophisticated tax planning and advisory solutions - helping grow existing accounts and attract new business.
• Act as a technical leader within the team, mentoring junior staff and offering detailed guidance on complex tax scenarios and technical development.
• Collaborate closely with other departments, such as Accounts and Corporate Tax, to deliver integrated, multi-disciplinary solutions tailored to client needs.
• Deliver comprehensive and technically robust tax strategies, supporting senior team members in expanding the firm’s service offering through insightful, high-value technical work.
• Play a key role in developing junior team members, providing not only feedback and support but also technical coaching to enhance their understanding of intricate tax issues.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

• CTA and/or STEP qualified.
• Significant experience gained within a professional services environment, with strong technical knowledge across private client tax, particularly in capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and broader tax planning strategies.
• Proven ability to convey complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to clients of varying technical backgrounds.
• Demonstrated success in leveraging technical knowledge to build and sustain profitable client relationships.
• Experience in managing and developing people, particularly with a focus on technical growth and capability.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous learning in a technically demanding environment.
