Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks)

Role: Mechanical Design Engineer (Contract) Employment: Contract (Inside IR35) THE ROLE – Mechanical Design Engineer Due to impressive project and program wins, we are seeking to recruit Mechanical Design Engineers to support our client’s aerospace engineering operations. You’ll need to have strong experience in both conceptual design and detailed drawing of components and assemblies, with experience in aerospace deemed highly valuable. DUTIES - Mechanical Design Engineer Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies Create accurate technical drawings and 3D CAD models. Apply GD&T and perform tolerance analysis Participate in DFMEA and risk identification activities. Present design concepts, progress updates and final designs to customers. Support prototype build, testing and troubleshooting Generate and maintain design documentation Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and CI activities. BACKGROUND - Mechanical Design Engineer Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or HNC/HND Experience with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX preferred) Candidates who are currently a Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Designer, Senior Engineer, CAD Engineer, Aerospace Engineer, Component Engineer, Project Design Engineer or similar may be suitable.
