The Performance Media team leads performance strategy across paid search, social, programmatic, and audience insights, while the Brand Media team leads brand strategy across narrative and channel selection. The two teams build every media plan together, aligned to a single business outcome. Media joins client engagements at the earliest stages, working alongside strategy and creative to develop one integrated campaign. As the team grows, we're looking for an experienced performance media leader who operates across the full funnel to help build that muscle and develop the people doing it.Position SummaryAs an Associate Media Director, Performance, you will lead performance media strategy across multiple client accounts, oversee campaign activation and optimisation, and mentor a growing team of performance media specialists.You will be responsible for translating client business objectives into effective, measurable media strategies across channels including paid search, paid social, programmatic and other digital platforms. You will use data and audience insights to identify opportunities, optimise performance and provide clients with clear, actionable recommendations.You will also play an important role in new business, working closely with Account, Strategy, Creative and Analytics teams to develop integrated performance solutions and bring new opportunities to life.What You’ll DoLead performance media strategy and planning across multiple client accounts, ensuring activity is aligned to business and marketing objectivesDevelop full-funnel performance strategies across paid search, paid social, programmatic and other digital channelsOwn the development and presentation of media plans, forecasts, budgets and performance recommendationsOversee the end-to-end management of paid media campaigns, from planning and activation through to optimisation and reportingProvide strategic direction across platforms including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and programmatic platformsLead campaign optimisation using performance data, audience insights and business outcomes to improve efficiency and resultsEstablish and monitor KPIs, measurement frameworks and reporting approaches aligned to client objectivesAnalyse campaign performance and turn data into clear insights, recommendations and actions for clientsAct as a senior performance media lead in client meetings, presentations and new business pitchesBuild strong relationships with clients and provide proactive strategic guidance on performance mediaCollaborate with brand media team members to develop fully integrated, holistic strategies that align brand and performance media channels and tactics to one higher order objectiveCollaborate with Account, Strategy, Creative and Analytics teams to develop integrated campaignsMentor and manage performance media specialists, providing coaching, feedback and support for their professional developmentManage performance reviews, goal setting and career development for team membersEnsure campaigns and deliverables are accurate, on strategy and delivered on timeStay ahead of developments across platforms, technology, audience targeting, measurement and the wider performance media landscapeSupport new business through strategic ideation, media planning, scoping, proposal development and presentationsChampion the use of AI and emerging technologies to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of our workWhat You’ll BringBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience5+ years of media, performance marketing or advertising agency experienceProven experience developing and executing performance media strategies across multiple channelsStrong hands-on knowledge of paid search, paid social and/or programmatic mediaExperience managing significant client budgets and making investment decisions based on performance and business objectivesStrong understanding of the full marketing funnel and how different channels work together to drive awareness, consideration, leads and conversionsStrong analytical skills and the ability to translate campaign data into actionable insightsExperience developing measurement frameworks, KPIs and performance reportingExperience using data and audience insights to inform targeting, optimisation and media strategyStrong client management and presentation skillsLeadership experience, including mentoring and developing junior team membersExperience with new business pitches and proposal developmentA strong understanding of the major self-serve media platforms, including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and TikTokExperience with programmatic platforms and/or DSPs is highly desirableExperience using GPT/AI tools to improve quality, accuracy and speed of workA curious, proactive approach and enthusiasm for emerging media technologies and trendsProficiency with FINN's reporting and dashboard platforms, including Ninjacat and Funnel, or similar toolsFamiliarity with AI tools used across the agency, including Gemini, OpenAI, Copilot, and Claude, to support planning, research, and reporting workflowsKnowledge & Skill RequirementsStrong working knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and other paid media platformsExperience with Google Analytics and Google Tag ManagerExperience with Google Campaign Manager and/or other ad serving and measurement platformsStrong understanding of attribution, conversion tracking and digital measurementExperience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and audience targeting strategiesStrong proficiency in Google Workspace, particularly Sheets, Docs and SlidesStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPointAbility to conduct critical analysis and identify meaningful insightsExcellent written, verbal and visual communication skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsSolid project management and organisational skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility
