Enabling Support Worker Field-based in Exeter, Devon, travelling to the homes of clients Operating across Devon and Torbay, Headway Devon is a local charity dedicated to improving life after brain injury. Brain injuries are a hidden disability that can affect personalities, relationships and the ability to lead an independent life. When a persons life is turned upside down by a brain injury, we ensure they get the help and support they need and deserve. We are now looking for an Enabling Support Worker to join us on a permanent, part-time basis, working variable hours, with the potential to build to 30 hours per week. An immediate start is available. As an Enabling Support Worker, you will provide compassionate, person-centred support to individuals in their homes in the Exeter area, helping them achieve their goals, develop independence and maintain meaningful social connections. Working in line with agreed care plans, you will support individuals to maximise their independent living skills, build confidence and participate more fully in their communities. You will motivate and encourage progress towards personal goals, monitor outcomes and carry out reviews and spot checks as required, always promoting dignity, choice and inclusion. Follow policies and procedures relating to customer service, health and safety, equality and diversity To be considered as an Enabling Support Worker, you will need: - The ability to work alone in the community and as part of a team - The ability to communicate well with clients, carers and professionals - Other organisations might call this role Support Worker, Care Worker, Junior Support Worker, Community Support Assistant, Community Support Worker, Care Assistant, or Trainee Social Worker.
