Location: Alfreton
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £19.50 per hour + Overtime
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and professional commercial vehicle workshop in Alfreton. Working on a range of trucks and vans, you'll be responsible for servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to the highest industry standards.
Working Hours Rotating Shift Pattern
Early Shift: Monday Friday, 06:00 15:00
Late Shift: Monday Friday, 15:00 00:00
Saturday: 08:00 12:30 (with late shift rotation)
The Role Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and LCVs
Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
Ensuring vehicles meet DVSA and health & safety standards
Supporting and mentoring apprentices
Completing workshop documentation accurately
Participating in ongoing manufacturer training and development
Requirements Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
Previous HGV Technician experience
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Full UK Driving Licence
Own tools
Main dealer experience desirable
