We are working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Blackpool that is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their successful department on a full-time maternity cover basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a supportive school community where high expectations, student achievement, and staff development are at the heart of everything they do.
The successful candidate will:
Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Inspire students to develop a love of Science and achieve their academic potential.
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Support students of varying abilities to make excellent progress.
Work collaboratively with colleagues within a supportive Science department.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting.
Has excellent classroom management skills.
Is passionate about raising attainment and student outcomes.
Can build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Demonstrates commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
Applications are welcomed from teachers specialising in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science.
