Service & Repair EngineerThe CompanyA leading engineering manufacturer with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality solutions across the Power, Oil & Gas, Nuclear and Industrial sectors is seeking a skilled Service & Repair Engineer to join its growing team. This is a varied role combining customer-facing field service work with hands-on workshop-based engineering. You'll have the opportunity to work on complex equipment, supporting customers across the UK and beyond while developing your technical expertise within a well-established engineering business. The RoleAs a Service & Repair Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance activities at customer sites. You'll act as the primary point of contact on-site, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. When not attending customer sites, you will support overhaul, repair, assembly and testing activities within the workshop. Key Responsibilities Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair activities at customer sites Diagnose faults and provide effective engineering solutions Act as the main customer contact during site activities Supervise customer personnel, contractors and third-party labour where required Ensure all work complies with health & safety, environmental and quality requirements Participate in risk assessments and promote safe working practices Deliver projects to agreed specifications, schedules and quality standards Support the overhaul, assembly, inspection and testing of equipment Work closely with engineering and management teams to resolve technical challenges Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and efficient resource utilisationAbout YouThe successful Service & Repair Engineer will ideally have: Previous field service or site-based engineering experience Experience working on large scale industrial machinary Mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience Experience within the Power, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas or related industries The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach Engineering qualification such as an Apprenticeship, HNC, Technical Certificate or equivalent experienceDesirable Skills HV Electrical qualifications Installation and commissioning experience Offshore safety certifications Overhead Crane or Slinger certificationBenefits Competitive salary and benefits package (overall base package including shift premium circa £46k, OTE £60k) Ongoing training and career development opportunities Generous annual leave entitlement with the option to purchase additional days Company pension scheme with life assurance Healthcare cash plan Employee assistance programme and virtual GP access Employee recognition schemes Cycle to work scheme Retail, leisure and lifestyle discountsPlease note this role requires circa 120 days international travel per year in 2-6 week blocks, and the successful candidate must be prepared to go through basic security clearance.  Apply NowIf you're an experienced Service & Repair Engineer looking for a diverse role that combines customer-facing field service work with hands-on engineering activities, we'd love to hear from you.
