CNC Miller - Sheffield Days: £16.07 per hour | Nights: £18.07 per hour Overtime available Shillito Group are recruiting for experienced CNC Millers on behalf of one of our manufacturing clients in Sheffield. This is a shop floor role working on Fanuc-based CNC milling machines, so we're looking for people who are comfortable setting and operating, reading drawings, checking their own work, and keeping things moving without needing their hand held every five minutes. The work will involve producing precision-machined parts to engineering drawings and specifications. You'll be expected to set jobs, make offsets, change tools, carry out basic programme edits where needed, inspect components, and work to tight tolerances. Shift patterns: Days/Nights Pay: Day shift: £16.07 per hour Night shift: £18.07 per hour Overtime is available Typical duties will include: Setting and operating Fanuc-based CNC milling machines Working from engineering drawings and job sheets Producing components to tight tolerances Tool changes, offsets, and basic programme adjustments Checking finished parts using measuring equipment Carrying out in-process inspection Keeping machines running efficiently and safely Reporting any issues with tooling, materials, drawings, or quality Working with supervisors and other operators to keep production on track Maintaining a clean and organised working areaWe're interested in speaking to CNC Millers who have a decent level of experience on the machines and can take ownership of their work. You don't need to be the loudest person in the factory, and you don't need to over complicate things. You just need to know what you're doing, turn up, and do the job properly. This would suit someone who has worked in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment and is used to working to drawings, tolerances, and production deadlines.
