Procurement Assistant Role Full-time, permanent position Location: Full-time in Central London Need to come from a solid construction background Specific duties: Reviewing purchasing requirements as per project specification Sourcing, negotiating and purchasing of materials and plant Coordinating deliveries for site, liaising with suppliers and site staff Reviewing invoices for plant and approve to the finance department for payment in accordance with terms Communicating any problem invoices with suppliers Assisting the commercial team with administrative duties by keeping databases and reports up to date Check and obtain all "BID" information such as quotes, and rates used in the tender using OSCA files as per the BMS protocols for locations With the QS review the buying gains sheet and understand the requirements of the procurement required for the project and work within the budgets set for each element Prepare information to assist the QS with applications for the project as required to enable claims for materials on site Carry out site visits with the PM SM and OM to understand the constraints of deliveries and project requirements to assist with the co-ordination of ALL deliveries Participate with internal and external design meetings along with the companies regular internal project reviews throughout the duration of the project Understand all project contractual requirements and ensure these are stepped down to suppliers and sub-contractors as required Ensure that proactive measures are implemented to address and mitigate project risks in all phases of the project with regards to delivery of materials If you're interested, and have the right experience then please either apply or reach out to Paige Camies at the Fawkes & Reece office
