MERCHANDISING ADMINISTRATOR
Competitive Salary, based on experience
Full Time (35 hours per week)
Office-based (Leeds)
The Merchandising Administrator is highly organised; detail orientated and provides support to the merchandising team in the day-to-day operations that drive product performance and sales success. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate product data, assisting with reporting and analysis, and ensuring smooth coordination between departments. It requires a high level of accuracy, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Product & Data Administration
Accurately set up and maintain product information across internal systems.
Ensure all product details (pricing, descriptions, sizes, categories) are correct and up to date.
Liaise with the merchandising and logistics team to ensure timely delivery and product launches.
Reporting & Analysis
Assist with weekly and ad hoc sales and stock reporting.
Track performance of ranges and highlight key trends to the merchandising team.
Support with intake planning and forecasting activities.
Stock Management
Monitor stock levels and flag any availability issues or potential risks.
Assist in managing allocations and replenishments where required.
Management and processing of stock takes supporting stores when necessary.
Coordinate with warehouse or supply chain teams on deliveries and stock movements.
Team Support & Communication
Provide administrative support to the merchandising teams.
Help prepare documents, presentations, or analysis for trade meetings.
Act as a key point of contact for queries related to product or stock data.
Process Improvement
Suggest and implement ways to improve administrative processes.
Maintain clear and organised files, trackers, and records.
Skills & qualifications required:
Previous experience in a retail or office administration role (merchandising experience preferred but not essential)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence working with data.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Clear and confident communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Interest in retail, fashion, or consumer goods industries is a plus.
