Project Manager (ATR Project)
About the role
The post is 17.5 hours per week and fixed term for 6 months.
The National Library of Scotland is seeking an experienced project manager to coordinate an exciting new project focused on creating large-scale data sets from digitised collections.
With funding from UKRI, the ATR Project aims to accelerate the Library’s ability to create large-scale text datasets from its digitised collections using AI-driven tools. This includes creating an efficient Automated Text Recognition (ATR) pipeline and embedding a new ATR tool into the Library’s digitisation workflows.
Working across the Library and with external partners, the postholder is accountable for delivering the project to agreed timescales, budgets and standards, with appropriate governance, reporting and evaluation in place.
We’re looking for someone with strong project management skills including great attention to detail, great written and spoken communication the ability to deliver projects on time and to budget. The role requires coordination between internal and external stakeholders and an interest in working with technology within a cultural organisation.
