The Accountant will receive a salary up to £55,000 plus attractive benefits.

The firm works with a varied portfolio of SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and entrepreneurs, providing accounting, tax, and advisory services tailored to their clients' needs.
The Role The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients and be responsible for delivering a range of accounting and compliance services while also supporting clients with commercial and financial insight.
Key Responsibilities Preparation of year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships Production of management accounts and financial reports Preparation and submission of VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and self-assessment tax returns Supporting clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software Reviewing financial records and ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and HMRC requirements Building and maintaining strong client relationships Assisting clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate Contributing to process improvements and operational efficiencies within the practice Candidate Requirements Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment AAT qualified, part-qualified ACA/ACCA, or qualified by experience (QBE) candidates will all be considered Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and tax regulations Experience working with SME clients Proficient with software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage Strong communication and interpersonal skills Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines independently Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
