£13.43 per hour + £70 per sleep in

We are recruiting for a Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a supportive residential children’s home in Shirebrook.

The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will help create a safe, structured and nurturing environment for the young people in the home.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting young people with their daily routines and activities
* Providing consistent emotional and practical support
* Building positive and professional relationships
* Promoting independence, confidence and life skills
* Supporting young people with education, appointments and activities
* Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally
* Maintaining accurate daily records and reports
* Following individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
* Working closely with colleagues to maintain a safe and positive home environment
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is reliable, patient and confident working with young people.
Ideally, you will have:
* Previous experience supporting children or young people
* Experience within residential care, supported accommodation or a similar setting
* A good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
* The ability to remain calm and consistent when dealing with challenging situations
* Good communication and record keeping skills
* Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep ins
Pay & Benefits
Up to £13.43 per hour
£70 per sleep in
