Site Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Officer to join a thriving primary school in Thetford. The school is committed to high standards, strong values and creating an environment where every child can feel safe, supported and able to thrive. The Role As Site Officer, you will play an important role in ensuring the school site, buildings and facilities are maintained to a safe and high standard. You will work closely with the wider school team, helping to ensure the site operates effectively and provides a welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Unlocking the site Check the heating / water works on arrival Gritting pathways in adverse weather Sweeping leaves General maintenance – changing light bulbs, fixing door handles, etc Put bins out Help unload deliveries and put in the stockroom Update the computer system with site checks Monday to Friday 7am to 3:25pm (1 hour lunch) 37 hours per week About You The successful candidate will have: Previous experience in a maintenance or site-based role A relevant technical or vocational qualification is desirable Excellent organisational and time management skills Confidence using IT systems and software Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance is desirable A proactive and practical approach to maintaining a safe and well-presented environment A strong commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of children Contract Personnel are one of East Anglia’s longest-standing, leading independent recruitment agencies – established in 1989.
