The Member Services team plays a vital role in supporting elected representatives, facilitating committee processes and ensuring the effective administration of Council business.
About you Minimum of 2 years' relevant administrative or clerical experience Experience preparing agendas, reports, minutes and correspondence Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality Experience supporting meetings and committee administration (desirable) Knowledge of governance or committee procedures (desirable) Full driving licence (or access to suitable transport) What you'll do Provide confidential administrative support to elected members and Council committees Coordinate agendas, reports, meeting papers and committee documentation Attend meetings, record proceedings and prepare accurate minutes Manage paperless meeting systems and document circulation processes Maintain records relating to member attendance, committees and declarations Coordinate meeting logistics, room bookings and virtual meeting arrangements Support Freedom of Information requests and governance reporting requirements Assist with mayoral and civic administration xwzovoh activities Arrange member travel, accommodation and conference attendance Maintain calendars, records and administrative systems Liaise with internal departments, elected members and external stakeholders Deliver a high standard of customer service and administrative support throughout the organisation For further information on this opportunity, or any other position in Belfast or wider Northern Ireland, please apply via the link or contact Conor Birch in the strictest confidence.
