Retail Infrastructure Engineer

Are you an Infrastructure Engineer looking for a role where your work directly impacts thousands of retail customers every day? We're looking for a Retail Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing technology team responsible for the infrastructure that powers stores across the UK. You'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing critical retail systems including store networks, POS technology, Microsoft infrastructure, cloud platforms and end-user services. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale retail technology projects, modernisation initiatives and infrastructure improvements within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. What You'll Be Doing * Supporting and maintaining retail infrastructure across multiple UK locations * Managing and improving store connectivity, networks and infrastructure services * Supporting POS and retail technology platforms * Working with Azure, Microsoft 365 and hybrid infrastructure environments * Monitoring system performance, availability and security * Delivering infrastructure upgrades, deployments and project work * Troubleshooting complex technical issues and driving root cause analysis * Working closely with service, support and project teams What We're Looking For * Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer or similar * Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 * Knowledge of networking technologies including SD-WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi and switching * KNowledge of SQL and FTP support * Experience supporting retail environments, store technology or POS systems * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Desirable Experience * VMware or virtualisation technologies * ITIL environment What's In It For You? * Competitive salary with bonus * Hybrid working * Exposure to enterprise-scale retail technology * Opportunities to lead infrastructure projects * Career progression within a growing technology function * Modern cloud and infrastructure environment If you're passionate about infrastructure, enjoy solving complex technical challenges and want to be part of a business investing heavily in technology transformation, we'd love to hear from you.
