Analyst - Strategic Advisory (Power, Utilities & Renewables)

Responsibilities
- Evaluate, structure, and recommend financial and strategic alternatives, including mergers, acquisitions, asset sales, and divestitures.
- Lead day‑to‑day execution of transactions, including due diligence, valuation analysis, and negotiation of contracts and other agreements.
- Analyze financial data and developments in financial markets relevant to the business of PJT Partners.
- Conduct research of targeted industries for investment purposes.
- Perform valuation analysis of prospective investment opportunities, assessing financial risks.
- Compare a company’s financial data with other companies in the same industry, size, and location to forecast industry trends.
- Design and develop quantitative models to assess the economic performance of targeted companies.
- Prepare written analysis and evaluations of investment opportunities for management and client review.
- Participate in internal and external client meetings, negotiations, and due diligence sessions.
Qualifications
- Highly motivated, intelligent, and proven self‑starter with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to write effectively.
- Background in finance/accounting and interest in the power & utilities industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in infrastructure, power & utilities investment banking (utilities, power, infrastructure, renewables or clean energy).
