Regional Manager – Building Control Location: Midlands & North West (flexible/home-based) Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + Car + Benefits Confido Consult is partnering with a well-established and growing Building Control team to appoint a Regional Manager to lead their commercial projects team across the Midlands and North West. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a competent Registered Building Inspector to take ownership of regional performance, drive technical excellence, and support the ongoing development of a high-performing team. The Role You will oversee a team of competent Registered Building Inspectors delivering a varied portfolio of commercial and higher-risk projects, ensuring compliance with current legislation and maintaining exceptional service standards. Key Responsibilities * Leading and managing a regional team of Registered Building Inspectors * Acting as the senior technical authority for complex queries and project support * Overseeing plan checking and site inspection activity across a diverse project portfolio * Driving quality assurance and compliance with Building Regulations and industry standards * Supporting, mentoring, and developing team members to progress their registration levels * Managing client relationships, including fee proposals and technical advice * Ensuring consistent delivery aligned with regulatory frameworks and internal standards About You * Registered Building Inspector (Class 3G/H preferred but other Class’s will be considered) * Strong background in commercial and/or higher-risk building projects * Leadership skills and ability to manage a team * Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act, and wider compliance frameworks * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders * Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively What’s on Offer * Competitive base salary * Company car or car allowance * Performance-related bonus (paid bi-annually) * 32 days leave (plus bank holidays), increasing with long service * Company pension scheme * Healthcare cashback plan * Regular team events and incentives For further information, or to have a confidential discussion about this Regional Manager – Building Control role, please apply today or get in touch: Steven Lynch Senior Consultant – Building Control 📞 (phone number removed) If your application is shortlisted, you will hear from us within two working days
