Senior Transport Planner (Time-Critical Logistics) Salary: Competitive performance-based rewards Contract: Full-time, Permanent Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week (shift start between 6:00am7:00am, with flexibility required) An established and fast-paced logistics operation is seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join their team.

This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role within a time-critical environment, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys being at the centre of live transport operations.
Working Pattern Typical start times fall between 6:00am and 7:00am , with a 42.5-hour working week.
Some flexibility is required to cover alternative shifts (including 9:00am and 10:00am11:00am starts) when needed, such as holiday cover.
Key Responsibilities Take full control of a live transport desk, managing real-time operations independently Make fast, accurate decisions in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment Handle escalations, service failures, and urgent operational challenges Support and lead planners and operators during live activity Ensure efficient routing, load planning, and vehicle utilisation Take ownership of operational decisions and their outcomes Candidate Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in same-day courier or time-critical logistics Strong background in dedicated transport, same-day courier services, air freight, or AOG (Aircraft on Ground) operations Previous experience at a senior or supervisory level Proven ability to manage a live transport desk without supervision Excellent attention to detail and strong memory recall Confident decision-maker who performs well under pressure Deep understanding of vehicles, routing, and xwzovoh operational urgency A hands-on team player who actively contributes to daily operations This role suits someone who is committed, proactive, and motivated to succeed in a demanding but rewarding environment.
