Join us as a Director in Institutional Banking

What you’ll do
We’re looking for someone to proactively enhance customer satisfaction and advocacy by providing them with products and services that best serve their needs. You’ll also prepare well researched and comprehensive briefs and pitch books for customers and prospect meetings. You’ll use a range of contact and strategy planning tools to identify and meet customer needs, while all the time making sure you’re delivering high quality customer interactions and experiences.
You’ll also be:
- Collaborating with customers and colleagues to build trust and long-term sustainable value
- Acting as a visible, positive presence in other parts of the business and the external market
- Supporting senior management to assess and analyse the financial information of our customers
- Leading a team of Relationship Managers in Guernsey, providing direction, support and coaching
The skills you’ll need
For this role, you’ll need highly developed interpersonal, coaching, negotiation, networking and leadership skills, preferably gained in a sales environment. You’ll also need experience of working with the major strategic models used by corporate entities to evaluate their operating environment and plan their future development. It’s advantageous to have a good awareness of credit processes, appetite and policies.
You’ll be expected to have:
- Proven risk assessment, monitoring and control skills in a broad range of customer situations
- An appreciation of the macroeconomic and financial outlook with a good understanding of the trust and corporate service provider sector
- A proven track record of managing and developing teams, preferably in a sales environment
