Mechanical Fitter

Job Title: Mechanical Fitter Location: Manchester Salary: Up to £34,250 Hours: 39 hours per week Overview: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a background in small plant equipment and diesel-powered machinery. The role involves a mix of site-based servicing and repairs, equipment setup, and workshop-based work. Key Requirements: Experience working with small plant equipment Knowledge of diesel-powered equipment NVQ Level 2–3 in Engineering or equivalent Ability to carry out site servicing, repairs, and equipment setup, including delivery and collection of machinery Workshop/shop-based maintenance experience Skills & Attributes: Basic understanding of hydraulic systems (or willingness to learn and develop new skills) Good communication skills Ability to maintain accurate maintenance and service records Able to work independently using own initiative as well as part of a team Full UK driving licence required Additional Information: CSCS card is preferable, however training can be provided Benefits: Company pension Free parking Health & wellbeing programme On-site parking Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required)
