Financial Performance Data Analyst

Job PurposeTo maintain and develop the Group’s financial data environment to support and positively influence the financial performance of the business through insightful analysis.Job OverviewSupport the positive direction of financial performance across Group companies through insightful analysis of actual and projected performance. Design and influence systems and processes that support efficiency, accuracy, and insight by valuing data as an asset. Support and input on pricing strategy and service resource allocation, focussing on driving improvement to profit margins. Undertake deep dive reviews and support a consistency of data and terminology across the Group. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the annual and quarterly financial planning process enabling Group Finance to efficiently assimilate data across multiple subsidiaries and provide timely feedback/challenge.Review Group forecasting methodologies and assumptions, identifying opportunities for improvements and consistency between entities.Undertake sensitivity analysis on budgets and forecastsOversee the Board and financial reporting process to ensure accuracy and consistency including common data dictionaries.Distribute regular leader boards/growth chartsSupport the review/oversight of sales bonus and commissions processing across Group (in conjunction with finance teams in each entity) validating the application of qualification criteria ensuring accurate payments.Support the monitoring, review and bench marking of product pricing across the GroupSupport the development of client level profitability ensuring consistency across the Group.Provide effective finance business partnering support to centralised Group functions, such as payroll and procurement.Prepare and validate key metric(s) data from sales and operational functions across Group to support regular operational efficiency reviews.Maintain a strong working relationship with the Group B.I team to shape development of the data warehouse for the provision of financial information.Undertake Ad-hoc analysis and review as requested by Group Board Directors.Effective financial data support of Group projects as required.Skills and experience required:Must have a strong grasp of accounting transaction processes and data architectureAbility to interpret data and challenge the validity of outcomes producedStrong attention to detailAbility to organise and prioritise workload and meet tight deadlinesGood level of commercial experienceAdvanced ExcelAbility with or experience of other data analytic tools desirablePossess strong communication skills
