RecruitME is working with an established UK renewable power generation business to recruit an Electrical Field Technician to support electrical maintenance and reliability across its regional sites.
This is an opportunity to join an experienced engineering team, working with a wide range of electrical equipment while helping to maximise plant availability and operational performance.
You don't need previous renewable energy experience to be considered.
We're particularly interested in electrically qualified professionals from power generation, industrial manufacturing, utilities, electricity distribution, steel production and other industrial engineering environments.
If you enjoy fault finding, solving technical problems and taking ownership of your work, this could be an excellent next career move.
The Opportunity As an Electrical Field Technician, you'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of operational power generation facilities. Working alongside regional and national electrical engineering colleagues, you'll diagnose faults, complete repairs, coordinate specialist contractors and support improvements in equipment reliability.

Generator Support: Assist with the safe isolation and disconnection of alternators before planned engine maintenance and rebuild activities.
Contractor Coordination: Support specialist electrical contractors, including site inductions, safety documentation and supervision of relevant work.
Reliability Improvements: Identify recurring faults, recommend improvements and support initiatives to improve plant availability.
Health and Safety: Follow electrical safety procedures, safe systems of work and relevant environmental and operational requirements.
Technical Reporting: Maintain accurate maintenance records, complete work documentation and provide regular progress updates.
Team Support: Work with regional engineering colleagues and contribute to the wider electrical maintenance function.
What We're Looking For
