Are you an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin your teaching career in supportive and flexible Primary School environments across Nottinghamshire?
Tradewind Recruitment Nottingham is now recruiting passionate and motivated ECTs for Primary Supply Teacher roles starting in September 2026. We work with a wide network of welcoming and well-established primary schools across Nottingham, Mansfield, Newark, West Bridgford, and surrounding Nottinghamshire areas.
Whether you're seeking day-to-day supply teaching, short-term placements, or opportunities that could lead to a long-term or permanent teaching role, supply teaching is the ideal way to build confidence, gain valuable classroom experience, and kick-start your teaching career.
Starting your first teaching role can feel overwhelming. Supply teaching offers flexibility, experience, and professional growth while allowing you to discover the type of school that suits you best.
As an ECT working in supply teaching, you will:
Gain experience across EYFS, Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
Build confidence in classroom teaching and behaviour management
Experience a variety of school settings, teaching styles, and leadership teams
Improve your adaptability and teaching skills quickly
Maintain a healthy work-life balance with flexible assignments
Strengthen your CV and increase future employment opportunities
Access potential pathways into long-term and permanent teaching positionsMany of our ECTs secure permanent roles in schools where they initially completed supply work.
As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and creative lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
Follow existing lesson plans or adapt learning activities where required
Create positive and inclusive classroom environments
Support pupil progress, wellbeing, and engagement
Adapt confidently to different Primary School settings across Nottinghamshire
Uphold high teaching and safeguarding standards at all timesTo be considered for these ECT Teaching opportunities, you should have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to complete your teacher training in 2026
A genuine passion for Primary Education
Strong communication and classroom management skills
A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching
