Your new company

Hays is delighted to be representing an established organisation currently investing in the continued development of its finance function, systems and processes.

The organisation offers a collaborative and flexible working environment and is looking for an experienced finance professional who can make a significant contribution to a business-critical programme of work.

Your new role

As Project Finance Manager, you’ll take responsibility for a broad range of financial management, governance, planning, forecasting and reporting activities while playing a key role in improving financial systems and processes.

A major focus of the position will be finance transformation. You’ll work across finance and operational teams, taking ownership of improvement activity and ensuring financial information, reporting and processes effectively support wider organisational requirements.

Fundamental to this appointment is previous Finance Project Manager experience where you have personally led a finance system transformation. Candidates could have delivered a transformation involving any major finance system.

You’ll also use your finance expertise to strengthen processes, improve reporting, support effective financial governance and build strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

You’ll be an experienced Programme Finance Manager, Finance Project Manager or Finance Transformation professional with a strong combination of financial management and systems expertise.

Most importantly, you must have personally led a finance system transformation, taking genuine ownership of the project rather than simply working within a business undergoing a system change. You’ll understand how to translate finance requirements into improved systems, processes and ways of working and be confident driving change across different stakeholder groups.

You’ll also bring strong financial reporting, forecasting, governance and analytical experience, together with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You’ll be comfortable operating across both the detail and the bigger picture and will bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to transformation and continuous improvement.

What you'll get in return

This is an opportunity to take on an influential role within an organisation undergoing meaningful finance change. You’ll have the opportunity to use your finance systems transformation and project management experience to shape processes, improve reporting and strengthen the wider finance environment.

The organisation offers a competitive overall package, flexible working arrangements and a supportive environment with opportunities for continued professional development

If you are looking for a role where you can combine finance leadership, project management and finance systems transformation, this could be an excellent next step.
