The Opportunity
We are looking for a qualified Solicitor to join a busy, established Wills & Probate team in Bolton.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, self-motivated individual who is keen to:
- Take ownership of their own caseload
- Support and supervise a team
- Develop their client following
- Play an important role in the continued development of the office
The Role
You will manage your own caseload and provide a professional, knowledgeable and compassionate service to clients, including elderly clients and families dealing with bereavement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload and maintaining accurate case management records
- Advising on and preparing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
- Dealing with Probate and Administration of Estates
- Advising on Court of Protection matters
- Drafting Wills, LPAs and related legal documentation
- Preparing and submitting applications to the Probate Registry
- Advising on matters relating to the Mental Capacity Act
- Working with testamentary trusts and related matters
- Attending clients in nursing homes and private residences when required
- Supervising and supporting team members to ensure a high standard of work
- Maintaining accurate and complete files and meeting all deadlines
- Contributing to your own professional development and the wider development of the team
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A qualified Solicitor or CILEX professional with 3+ years’ PQE
- Experienced in Wills, LPAs and Probate
- Knowledgeable in the Mental Capacity Act
- Ideally STEP qualified or working towards STEP qualification
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident working independently and managing a caseload
- Experienced in supervising or supporting a team
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- IT literate with strong word-processing skills
- Professional, reliable and approachable
- Ambitious and keen to develop their career and client following
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Flexible, proactive and eager to develop new skills
- In possession of a full UK driving licence and access to a car for business use, as occasional travel to other locations and client appointments may be necessary
