HR Manager - Legal

Job Description We are partnering with a growing organisation to appoint an experienced HR Manager into a newly created role. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on HR professional to build and shape the HR function while leading the organisation’s global mobility and immigration activities. This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys operating, both strategically and operationally developing structures, implementing policies, managing employee relations, and coordinating international talent relocation to the UK. Build and develop the HR function, implementing effective policies, procedures, and best practice frameworks Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on all HR matters Lead on employee relations activity, managing and resolving ER cases with a pragmatic, compliant approach Oversee global mobility and immigration processes, ensuring a smooth relocation experience for international talent Liaise with external legal partners to coordinate immigration and employment documentation Work closely with HMRC and internal teams on compliance, visa requirements, and reporting Partner with overseas suppliers and stakeholders to support international recruitment activity Act as the key point of contact for employees relocating to the UK, supporting them from offer through to settlement Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with employment legislation and visa requirements Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor, ideally with experience building or shaping an HR function Strong background in employee relations and managing complex ER cases Experience in global mobility, immigration, or international relocation Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice Confident liaising with legal professionals and senior stakeholders Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
