Senior Social Worker

Halton Borough Council is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join its Duty and Assessment Team, based in the Halton area. Duties and Responsibilities * Conduct initial assessments. * Manage a varied caseload of children and families in need of support. * Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children. * Undertake home visits, build rapport with families, and ensure that appropriate interventions are put in place. * Produce high-quality assessments and reports for management and court purposes. * Respond swiftly to referrals, assessing risk and need to ensure timely and effective interventions. Requirements * Qualified Social Worker (Degree/Diploma in Social Work). * Registration with Social Work England. * 3 years perm experience. * Proven experience within a Duty and Assessment team or similar front-line social work. * Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and social work legislation. * Ability to manage a complex caseload effectively while maintaining high-quality practice standards. * Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. * Car for work purposes
