Maintenance Operative

Maintenance Operative Salary: From £35,105 per annum Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 on a rota between 7:30am and 8:30pm, including weekends and bank holidays. Location: Canary Wharf Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of a leading residential property operator for a Maintenance Operative to join a busy, high quality living environment in Canary Wharf. Key Responsibilities * Carry out day-to-day reactive maintenance and minor repairs, including basic plumbing, decorating and general building fabric repairs * Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) inspections and routine building checks * Inspect communal areas, plant rooms and resident spaces, reporting and resolving maintenance issues promptly * Work alongside contractors, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard * Maintain accurate maintenance records using digital reporting systems * Support compliance with health & safety, fire safety and statutory building requirements * Respond quickly to maintenance issues and emergencies as required * Work closely with the wider site team to ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents Requirements * Previous experience in a facilities, estates or building maintenance role * Good all round maintenance skills, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering and general repairs * Experience working within residential, commercial or hospitality environments * Comfortable using tablets or mobile devices to complete maintenance records * Flexible to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays If you're a proactive Maintenance Operative looking for your next opportunity, we'd like to hear from you.
