About the role
Wren Kitchens is continuing to grow, and we're looking for a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to join our expanding Engineering team at our manufacturing facility in Howden.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional with strong leadership skills to play a key role in supporting a fast-paced manufacturing operation. You'll work closely with the Engineering Manager to drive performance, reliability, and continuous improvement across the site.
The Role
As Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance team, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and with minimal disruption to production.
You'll act as the link between the Engineering Manager and the maintenance team, coordinating workloads, supporting operational performance, and ensuring high standards of safety and compliance are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Engineering Manager to plan workloads and allocate jobs effectively, ensuring priorities are delivered.
* Coordinate with departmental managers to minimise downtime and operational disruption during maintenance activities.
* Liaise with suppliers to source materials and equipment required for repairs and improvement projects.
* Ensure repairs, installations, and building projects are completed to a high standard and in compliance with relevant regulations.
* Communicate business updates, operational changes, and key information across the Maintenance team.
* Monitor team performance and output, identifying and escalating areas of concern where necessary.
* Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and reactive maintenance activities.
* Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture across the engineering function.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements.
About You
We're looking for a motivated and organised engineering professional who can lead by example and thrive in a busy manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Proven experience delivering results within an engineering or manufacturing environment
* Experience planning and coordinating PPM schedules and reactive maintenance activities
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Self-motivated with excellent prioritisation skills
* Understanding of PLC systems
* Previous engineering leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
Desirable
* HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
* Experience within a woodworking, furniture manufacturing, or automated production environment.

* Monday to Friday working pattern 10am - 18.30pm (potential transfer to 14.30pm - 23.00pm)
