Design Engineer

White Label is representing an engineering and manufacturing company in Wakefield that requires a Design Engineer with experience working with stainless steel and sheet metal products within a machinery and manufacturing environment to join their team. This presents an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team within a progressive organisation. * Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 * Working Hours: 40 hours per week with flexible start/finish times within 7:30am – 5pm * Holiday Allowance: 23 days holiday + bank holidays * Pension: 5% from employee and 3% from employer * Car parking * Progression and mentorship available Duties of the Design Engineer * To carry out design functions using Inventor software * Production of GA drawings * Production of manufacturing drawings and BOMs * Ensure all designs comply with the required contract specifications * Liaise with suppliers and customers as directed for the purposes of design development and approval * Contribute to the ongoing improvement of designs Experience required of the Design Engineer * Educated to HNC level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering * 3D CAD experience * Experience of working within a machinery and manufacturing environment * Ability to produce manufacturing drawings and layouts for sheet metal products * Knowledge of drawing and design standards * IT skills – Including Microsoft Office Word and Excel This vacancy is being managed by Paul Smith.
