Location: Belfast (flexible hybrid)

A leading contractor within the UK water sector is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a growing programme of work across major water treatment and infrastructure schemes. This is an opportunity to join a business delivering projects that directly improve the quality, resilience, and sustainability of the UK’s water networks.

The Role

You’ll take full commercial ownership of projects delivered under NEC contracts, working closely with operational teams to manage costs, mitigate risk, and ensure strong financial performance throughout the project lifecycle. The work spans large-scale water treatment upgrades, network improvements, and wider infrastructure schemes – ideal for someone who thrives in a technically varied, fast‑moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial management of NEC-based water and infrastructure projects
  • Manage forecasting, cost control, change management and contractual compliance
  • Build strong working relationships with delivery teams, supply chain and clients
  • Prepare CVRs, manage subcontract accounts and oversee final accounts
  • Drive best‑practice commercial governance across the programme

About You

  • Experienced Quantity Surveyor with a track record in water treatment, utilities, or civil infrastructure
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (ECC)
  • Able to work independently, solve problems proactively and influence project outcomes
  • Comfortable supporting multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Degree‑qualified or equivalent, with strong commercial acumen and communication skills

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

You’ll be joining a contractor truly embedded in the UK water sector – a business delivering long‑term, community‑impacting infrastructure that will shape future resilience. The role offers clear progression, a collaborative commercial team, and the chance to work on high‑value AMP projects across the UK.
