This is a high-profile role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and legal teams, helping to drive financial performance, improve decision-making, and support the firm's continued growth.
The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, commercial analysis, and audit management, while acting as a trusted adviser across the business.
The position would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys combining technical financial expertise with strategic commercial input and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the firm Partner with legal teams and department heads to provide meaningful financial insight and performance analysis Analyse key financial and operational metrics, including utilisation, recovery rates, WIP, billing performance, and profitability Produce and present clear, actionable management information to senior stakeholders Identify opportunities to improve financial performance, efficiency, and profitability Support pricing decisions and incentive scheme calculations Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely management accounts Lead the annual statutory audit process and act as the primary contact for external auditors Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and audit readiness Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and business partnering activities Foster strong relationships between the finance function and operational teams The successful candidate will be a confident and credible finance professional with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and contribute to commercial decision-making. xwzovoh
Essential Requirements Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Minimum 23 years' post-qualification experience Previous experience within a professional services environment Strong understanding of WIP, billing processes, and revenue recognition Demonstrable experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate financial data into practical business insight Experience working closely with senior stakeholders and leadership teams Knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and audit processes Advanced Excel and analytical skills Experience leading or managing external audit processes Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements What's on Offer?
