Warehouse Operative (Reach Truck) - Freezer (Temp to Perm) Location: Peterborough, PE2 Shift: Afternoon shift, Monday to Friday 14:00-22:00 (37.5 hours per week) Breaks: 30 minutes unpaid Pay: £13.39 per hour + £47 weekly bonus Overtime rate: £16.74 per hour Contract: Temp to perm after 3 months The Role As a Warehouse Operative, you'll work within the Warehouse Team to ensure the efficient, safe and accurate handling of stock. You will support goods in/out and order picking to deadlines while maintaining high service standards. Please note: This is a freezer environment and temperatures can be as low as -15°C (and may be colder). Key Responsibilities Pick, collate and despatch orders accurately to customer requirements Check inbound goods against delivery notes for accuracy and damage Accurately record stock movements and book in stock on time Place/pick stock from correct locations to maintain traceability Load/unload vehicles safely and diligently Operate MHE as required and complete daily safety checks thoroughly Assist with regular and spot stock takes Maintain a clean and tidy work environment Adhere to Health, Safety and Hygiene policies at all times Follow quarantine and non-conformance procedures as required Requirements (Essential) Valid MHE licence (D2 category) - Reach Truck & Counterbalance Previous warehouse/operative experience Comfortable working in a freezer environment (up to -25°C) Good attention to detail and numeracy Basic computer skills Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Physically fit (manual handling/heavy goods) Team player with a proactive "can do" attitude What You Get Competitive hourly rate + weekly bonus + paid overtime Monday-Friday afternoon shift pattern Temp-to-perm opportunity after 3 months (subject to performance/attendance) Interested?
