About the Role

EOM, part of the Barcud Group, is recruiting a skilled Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join its maintenance team. You’ll carry out repairs, servicing and installations across domestic and commercial properties, covering gas, plumbing, heating, ventilation, sprinkler systems and renewable technologies. The job description notes that the role involves the repair, maintenance and installation of gas, plumbing and heating systems, fire detection sprinkler systems, mechanical ventilation and heat recovery systems and air source heat pumps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a wide range of planned and reactive works safely and efficiently.
  • Service domestic gas, oil, air source and related appliances including boilers, fires and water heaters.
  • Diagnose faults across heating systems, boilers and controls.
  • Service fire detection sprinkler systems and MVHR systems.
  • Issue required gas safety notices and certificates.
  • Complete quotes, paperwork and digital records in line with company processes.
  • Maintain a well‑stocked, safe company vehicle.
  • Liaise with customers professionally and courteously.
  • Participate in an emergency call‑out rota.
  • Undertake training and maintain required certifications.
  • Use complementary multi‑trade skills where required (e.g., plastering, tiling, basic plumbing).
  • Mentor apprentices and support colleagues across the Barcud Group.
