Faststream Recruitment is working with an established international marine engineering business to recruit a Technical Sales Engineer. This is an opportunity for a marine professional with strong technical knowledge and an understanding of ship systems and equipment to move into a technically focused commercial role. You will be responsible for developing technical solutions and proposals in response to customer requirements, working closely with engineering, sales and project teams.The Role:Reviewing customer specifications, RFQs and technical documentationDeveloping technical solutions and selecting suitable equipmentCarrying out calculations, equipment sizing and system designProducing technical documentation, specifications and P&IDsPreparing costings and commercial proposal informationUsing CAD to develop equipment and system layoutsWorking with customers and internal teams throughout the proposal processSupporting newbuild and retrofit projects We are interested in speaking with candidates from a range of marine backgrounds, including technical sales, marine engineering, applications, proposals, project/design engineering and marine superintendent positions. You should have a strong understanding of marine equipment and ship systems, with the ability to interpret technical requirements and develop practical engineering solutions. Experience within cruise, shipbuilding or wider commercial shipping would be beneficial, although strong marine engineering experience from another sector will also be considered. This is a technically focused role offering the opportunity to work on complex marine projects with international customers and develop your career within the maritime industry.
