The practice works across a strong pipeline of residential, regeneration, education, healthcare, commercial, energy and mixed-use projects, supporting both public and private sector clients.The OpportunityWe are seeking experienced Town Planners who can:Lead and manage a wide range of planning applications, appeals and site appraisalsProvide strategic planning advice across multiple sectors and project typesManage and develop strong client relationships in a consultancy environmentWork closely with urban design and landscape colleagues to deliver integrated, place-based solutionsSupport and mentor junior team members as part of a collaborative planning functionThis is a senior opportunity within a fast-growing consultancy offering genuine progression, involvement in complex projects, and exposure to multidisciplinary placemaking work at a national level.Role OverviewYou will take a leading role in delivering planning projects from early feasibility through to determination, working across both strategic and detailed planning stages.The role is client-facing and will involve coordination of multidisciplinary inputs, stakeholder engagement, and contribution to wider project strategy within a commercially driven consultancy environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead planning applications, appeals and site promotion workPrepare high-quality planning reports, statements and assessmentsManage client relationships and coordinate internal and external project teamsSupport stakeholder engagement, consultations and planning committeesCollaborate with design disciplines to ensure integrated development outcomesMentor and support junior planners within the teamContribute to business development and work-winning activityEssential Skills & ExperienceDegree in Town Planning or related disciplineMRTPI qualified or working towards chartershipStrong knowledge of the UK planning system and policy frameworkProven consultancy or local authority experience managing planning projectsExcellent written, verbal and presentation skillsStrong client-facing and stakeholder engagement experienceAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentDesirableExperience across residential, regeneration, education, healthcare, energy or mixed-use schemesExposure to planning committees and public consultation processesPrevious experience mentoring or supporting junior team membersWhat’s on OfferCompetitive salary dependent on experienceHybrid working with flexibility to be based in either Bristol or Cardiff officesEmployee ownership structure with profit shareStrong focus on training, development and career progressionOpportunity to work on high-quality, design-led development projectsSupportive and collaborative multidisciplinary environmentIf you are an experienced Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career within a progressive, design-focused consultancy, please apply with your CV for a confidential discussion.
