BI Analyst London | Hybrid Working (2–3 days per week in office) | Salary up to £63,000 About the Role We are looking for an experienced BI Analyst to join our data and analytics function within a leading insurance organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly data-driven environment, supporting business teams with actionable insights, reporting solutions, and data-led decision making across the organisation. You will play a key role in translating complex business requirements into effective BI solutions, working closely with stakeholders, data teams, and technology functions to deliver meaningful analytics capabilities. The Role As a BI Analyst, you will support the development and delivery of reporting, dashboards, and analytical solutions that enable better business decisions. You will work across the full BI lifecycle — from gathering requirements and analysing data through to building dashboards, improving data quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain business intelligence reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions. Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and business insights. Work with stakeholders across underwriting, claims, operations, finance, and corporate functions. Translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions. Build data visualisations that communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. Support improvements to data quality, governance, and reporting standards. Work closely with Data Engineers, Developers, and Product teams to deliver BI capabilities. Investigate data issues and provide root cause analysis. Support data-driven transformation initiatives across the organisation. Promote best practices around reporting, analytics, and self-service BI. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience working as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role. Strong SQL skills with experience extracting and manipulating data. Experience building dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI preferred). Understanding of data modelling, reporting structures, and analytics principles. Experience working with business stakeholders to gather requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly. Desirable Experience Experience within insurance, financial services, or another regulated environment. Knowledge of the London Market / Lloyd’s insurance environment. Experience working with data warehouses and enterprise data platforms. Exposure to Azure data technologies or Microsoft data stack. Understanding of Agile delivery and SDLC processes.
