About the role
Are you up for playing a pivotal role in the development and delivery of a critical programme of projects? One that brings together several local authorities and environmental bodies with the shared aim of improving bathing water quality across Yorkshire’s coastal regions.
A client organisation is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its capital delivery team, and contribute to the development and delivery of a varied capital programme of projects.
Projects will include the construction of new storm overflow infrastructure, upgrades to treatment works, improved surface water separation and the delivery of nature-based solutions, such as constructed wetlands.
All projects are currently at outline design stage, giving you a genuine opportunity to shape the commercial strategy, influence procurement and manage cost and risk before key decisions are locked in.
The role will further develop your already extensive NEC contract experience while providing exposure to a varied portfolio of projects that will strengthen your long-term career prospects. You will also benefit from an improved work-life balance, with only two days per week required in the office.
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:
Experience of working with NEC contracts, with Option C experience essential
Approximately 8 years of relevant postgraduate experience
A strong background in major infrastructure projects, gained working in a client side role either for a Consultancy or Client
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Interest in continuous development, and a desire to be supported and mentored through Chartership
On offer is a salary of between £60,000 and £76,000, together with an annual bonus of up to £1,000, a generous 12% employer pension contribution, annual leave, wellness days and a range of additional benefits.
If you are ready to make a meaningful impact, help deliver essential infrastructure and contribute to a more sustainable future for millions of people, please apply by email or contact Rob on (phone number removed).
