Senior Site Engineer

Senior Site Engineer / Section Engineer Location: East Lothian Sector: Civil Engineering / Infrastructure Contract: Freelance Peace Recruitment are working with an established civil engineering contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Engineer / Section Engineer for a long-term infrastructure project in East Lothian. The role will suit someone who is comfortable taking ownership of a package of works, overseeing engineering delivery and supporting less experienced engineers on site. Responsibilities will include: * Setting out and checking works * QA, ITPs and as-built documentation * RC concrete and structural civils * Drainage and associated infrastructure works * Coordinating subcontractors and site teams * Supporting and mentoring junior engineers * Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team We’re looking for: * Strong Site Engineer / Section Engineer experience * A solid background in civil engineering and infrastructure projects * Experience with structural concrete, drainage and general civils * Good knowledge of QA and technical documentation * Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for a package of works * Previous experience within energy, water or major infrastructure projects would be beneficial This is a good opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a long-term freelance role with a well-established contractor
