Handyman / Maintenance Engineer - Manchester, start asap, 1 month Location: Manchester Start: ASAP Hours: 40 hours per week, 8:00am-5:00pm Rate: £19.19 per hour PAYE / £24.85 per hour Umbrella We are currently looking for an experienced Handyman / Maintenance Engineer to work on a commercial site in Manchester. The role will involve general building maintenance, repairs and handyman duties, including: General repairs and maintenance around the site Basic plumbing repairs - taps, toilets, sinks and minor leaks Basic electrical tasks such as changing lamps, sockets and fittings Carpentry and joinery repairs Painting and decorating Repairs to doors, locks, handles and ironmongery Minor plastering and making good Furniture assembly and moving Basic mechanical maintenance Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance tasks Responding to maintenance requests and breakdowns Completing maintenance records and reporting defects Liaising with the site team and contractors Following site Health & Safety procedures and Risk AssessmentsRequirements: Previous experience in a handyman/building maintenance role Good all-round practical maintenance skills Able to carry out basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical tasks Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills Reliable and professional Previous commercial site experience desirableTech-People are a leading recruitment business within M&E and Construction.
