Principal Social Worker – MASH / IAA Team
PAYE: £33.00 per hour / Limited or Umbrella: £42.60 per hour

RCT Children's Services is offering a Principal Social Worker post within the MASH / IAA Team, based at Ty Elai, Heol Dinas Isaf, Tonypandy (CF40 1NY).
Hybrid working — 3 days based in the Ty Elai office, 2 days from home.
About the role:
You'll work collaboratively to deliver sustained improvements in performance, quality and consistency of practice across the team, achieving the best possible outcomes for children, young people and adults. Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver interventions requiring high-level assessment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Carry a complex caseload alongside the generic responsibilities of all Social Workers
- Deputise for the Team Practice & Performance Manager as required
- Perform a quality assurance role in line with the Department's QA framework, including individual and thematic audits
- Formulate, design and deliver expert, evidence-based interventions
- Provide professional leadership, guidance and mentorship to team members
- Represent and promote the service in relevant multi‑agency meetings
- Ensure the transfer of knowledge and sharing of best practice across the team and services
- Develop innovative ways of working and engage in the strategic development of the team and service
- Stay appraised of developments in practice, and support the training of undergraduate and post‑qualification social workers

To apply for this role, you will need to hold:
- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 years of referencing
- Driving licence with access to a car
