Are you an experienced Estimator looking for your next opportunity within civil engineering?

You'll join an established contractor with a strong track record across the South of England, working on a varied portfolio of infrastructure, groundworks and civil engineering projects.

You'll support the estimating process from initial tender review through to submission, working closely with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to produce accurate and competitive bids.

• Prepare estimates and tender submissions for civil engineering projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes and tender documentation.
• Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Price labour, plant, materials and subcontractor packages.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering options.
• Work closely with the commercial and operational teams throughout the tender process.

You'll be joining an established civil engineering business based in Fordingbridge, with a long-standing reputation for quality, attention to detail and client service.

The business delivers a broad range of civil engineering and infrastructure works, including S278 infrastructure, site clearance, highways, drainage, earthworks, landscaping, concrete works and local authority developments.

• Previous experience as an Estimator within civil engineering.
• Good understanding of groundworks, infrastructure and construction methodologies.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Experience obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Confident communication and negotiation skills.

• Experience with S278, highways, drainage or earthworks projects.
• Relevant construction or civil engineering qualification.
• Good knowledge of Excel and estimating software.
• Experience working with developers, main contractors or local authorities.

• £50,000 – £70,000 salary, depending on experience.
