- 12 Months) Location: Newry Salary: £25,000
- £30,000 per annum Working Pattern: 4-Day Working Week (choice of Tuesday or Wednesday off) Hours: 8:00am
- 5:30pm Benefits 4-day working week Auto-enrolment pension Life assurance (3x annual salary) Health cash plan (including dental, optical and healthcare benefits) Employee discount scheme Free onsite parking The Role An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Assistant to join a busy and supportive HR team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
The successful candidate will support the HR Manager across a range of HR activities, helping to deliver an efficient and professional HR service while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
Key Responsibilities Support the implementation and review of HR policies and procedures.
Provide HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, attendance management, performance management and employee engagement.
Maintain accurate HR records, databases and personnel files.
Ensure confidentiality and GDPR compliance at all times.
Assist with payroll administration and employee timekeeping records.
Support the handling of employee queries, disciplinary matters and grievances.
Coordinate training and development activities.
Assist with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Build positive working relationships across the business.
Essential Criteria Minimum 2 years' experience in an HR Assistant or HR Support role.
Strong knowledge of employment legislation.
Excellent administration, organisation and communication skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels.
Flexibility to travel between company locations when required. xwzovoh
Desirable Criteria CIPD qualified or currently working towards a CIPD qualification.
