About the role

Portfolio Manager - B2B Conferences
£55,000–£60,000 base + event-based bonus of approximately £20,000–£25,000+, with further upside
Hybrid – three days per week in Central London
The Company
A well-established international B2B conference organiser with a strong reputation for creating high-level events in specialist global markets.
The business brings together senior decision-makers from industry and the public sector. This position sits within its largest portfolio by both revenue and number of events, with established conferences in the UK and US, strong year-on-year growth and significant scope for further international expansion.
The Role
You will take commercial and strategic ownership of a portfolio of established international conferences, directly producing the leading events while guiding the wider portfolio’s direction.
You will:
- Research and produce approximately four to six two and three-day conferences each year.
- Grow existing events through stronger content, more senior speakers, increased sponsorship and larger audiences.
- Help take the leading events beyond 30 sponsors and £1m in revenue.
- Identify and validate new topics, event formats, international locations and additional revenue streams.
- Work closely with sales, marketing and operations to ensure each event achieves its full commercial potential.
- Build trusted relationships with senior industry figures and act as an external representative of the portfolio.
The bonus is linked to overall event revenue rather than profit margin, providing meaningful earning potential as the portfolio continues to grow.
The Person
You will be an experienced, commercially minded conference producer or portfolio manager with at least four to five years of research-led event production experience.
You should be able to demonstrate:
- Ownership and growth of an established event or multi-event portfolio.
- Experience producing large-scale, content-led B2B conferences.
- The ability to secure senior speakers and build influential industry relationships.
- A strong understanding of how content, audience and sponsorship combine to drive revenue.
- Experience launching or validating new events, markets or formats.
- The energy and ambition to build on success rather than simply manage what already exists.
